What If The Chat Interface Is Just Like The Voice Interface

Something I cannot shake when AI is brought up, what if the chat interface is the wrong interface for the AI to go mainstream and what if it turns out to be the same as the voice interface is for most users?

What if AI is a curation tool or a creation tool away from prompts, better at understanding this is what I want and go and create or curate for me with natural language rather than having to learn new language skills to ensure it works or learning to search in chat that takes too long for the everyday user.

There is a clock ticking/deadline for every product whether it is creating a huge potential shift to hit the mainstream (think VR) and maybe AI is hyped up in the wrong way with the wrong interface.

As I suggested in Apple AI play, it will likely come down to your primary device making AI more personalised, EASY and creating confidence around this is what I wanted first time around - this is also why Google is having its wobble with AI and forcing AI into everything.

Yes, it could that chat is the first interface, but maybe-just-maybe chat isn’t the right interface and most users will give up on a chatbot that doesn’t get me and doesn’t get the way I search or speak.

Time is going to tell.
